MY MEMOIR

In Dandelions, I invite you into the raw, unvarnished truth of my life — from a childhood shaped by the shadows of communism in Romania and the chaos of the 1989 revolution, to the bittersweet years of first love, high school dreams, and an early introduction to life's harsh realities. Through the trials of an abusive relationship, the joys and challenges of becoming a mother, and the struggle to build a life from the ground up, my path has been anything but straight.
When I immigrated to the United States in 2006, I carried nothing but hope and determination. For nine years, I juggled three jobs, raised my child in the places I worked, and learned what it truly means to start over. The journey took me through deep depression, the fog of medication, divorce, and the painful loss of friends and family — until I found my way into the beauty industry, building a career as a bridal educator and achieving heights I once couldn't imagine.
But success didn't erase the struggles. Marriage, motherhood, ambition, and exhaustion collided until my world fell apart again — my health, my career, my sense of self. In the quiet aftermath of a nervous breakdown, I stepped away from everything for few weeks, sat with my truth, and wrote this book.
Dandelions is more than a memoir.
It's a testament to resilience, to the way a soul can endure seasons of loss, loneliness, and reinvention — and still find the will to lift its head toward the sun.
